Huskies fall in state semifinalsFree Access


The Jackson County Central football team had its season end Friday with a 41-12 loss to Barnesville in the Class AA state semifinals at US Bank Stadium.

The Huskies finish the year with a record of 12-1.

Barnesville scored on two of its first three drives before Ben Dahlin returned a kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown to cut the Trojan lead to 14-6.

Barnesville led 21-6 at the half and later 28-6 before Roman Voss ran for a 49-yard touchdown. The Trojans added the final two scores.

Voss ran for 83 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries and completed 11 passes for 105 yards. Gabriel Wolff ran for 81 yards.

Travis Rogotzke caught three passes for 35 yards, Bryson Powers caught two for 32 yards and Dahlin caught four for 28 yards.

JCC ran for 183 yards and threw for 105 for 288 yards of offense.

Barnesville ran for 358 yards and threw for 104 to rack up 463 yards of offense.
