Sam Brinkman was medalist Thursday at the Jackson Golf Club as the Jackson County Central boys’ golf team won a triangular against Worthington and Pipestone.
The JCC girls were incomplete in the meet.
Brinkman birdied the fourth and fifth holes and made par on holes No. 1, 2, 6 and 7 and finished at 2-over-par 39 despite windy conditions.
Luke Anderson was fifth individually in the triangular with a score of 45 and Tanner Haar was one stroke back at 46. Kasey Grimmius shot 48 to round out JCC’s team total. Also playing for the Huskies were Tavin Miller (49) and Gavin Thies (54).
Maci Farmer shot 53 to finish second overall in the girls’ meet. The only other golfer for JCC was Rachel Mohr, who shot 63.
The Huskies are back on the course Monday when they play in the Big South Conference meet at Dakotah Ridge.
