City declares Emerald Valley lots tax-exempt
The Lakefield City Council unanimously approved a measure making the Emerald Valley development lots exempt from property taxes as it met in regular session Monday night.

City of Lakefield applying for Small Cities Development Program grant
In the past, the city of Lakefield has taken advantage of three Small Cities Development Program grants. Lakefield is now in the process of applying for yet another one, according to Lakefield’s Administrative Clerk Kelly Rasche.
