VB: Huskies remain atop poll

The Jackson County Central volleyball team is ranked No. 1 heading into postseason play. The Huskies, the top seed in the south portion of the Section 3AA tournament, keep a slim edge over Marshall in the final poll of the season.

JCC received six first-place votes and 118 points, finishing ahead of Marshall, which had two first-place votes and 114 total points. No other school received first-place votes.

In Class A, the Southwest Star Concept Quasars are ranked eighth, receiving 64 points in the final poll. Bethlehem Academy keeps its top spot, with Minneota remaining in second. Windom Area and Canby are tied for third. Martin County West received votes in Class A.

The Huskies (24-1) recently won the Southwest Conference and are scheduled to open postseason play against Fairmont Friday in Jackson. Click here to see the Section 3AA volleyball playoff schedule.
