Driver in fatal crash dies

A second person has died as the result of a Tuesday, June 30, motor vehicle accident near Heron Lake.
Ardith C. Busch, 82, of Fulda, who had been listed in critical condition following the two-vehicle accident last Tuesday, died as a result of her injuries, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Busch had been driving her 2006 Ford Focus southbound on County Road 9 when it collided with a van in the eastbound lane of Highway 60 around 5:15 p.m. June 30. Busch’s passenger, Harold M. Busch, was killed in the impact.
Ardith Busch was transported by ambulance to the Windom hospital and air-lifted to Sanford in Sioux Falls, S.D. The driver of the van, Patricia Kinley, 37, of Worthington, and her passenger, daughter Paige M. Kinley, 13, were apparently uninjured, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
