Longtime residents to be honored
Some of Lakefield’s longest-tenured residents will be honored in this year’s Summerfest Parade.
Nearly 20 folks who are 90 years and older will ride in golf carts toward the start of the parade Saturday, representing a combined 1,673 years.
The parade starts at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and will be followed by a free watermelon feed and community photograph in front of the Lakefield Standard office on Main Street.
